Data API Dataset snapshot In development

Build with structured packaged food data.

Packaged food and beverage records keyed by barcode: ingredient lists in on-label order, nutrition facts parsed to name, amount, unit and daily value, declared and precautionary allergens, and clean categories.

Status

In development, launching end 2026.

The first release is a licensed dataset, with a hosted API to follow. A free sample of the dataset, with label photos and schema documentation, is available now.

Use cases

Built for teams that ship food products.

Nutrition and health apps

Scan a barcode and get the full label back: nutrition facts, ingredients and allergens, ready for logging, alerts and diet matching.

E-commerce and grocery

Ingredient-rich product pages, faceted search on dietary claims and allergens, and catalogue enrichment by barcode.

Research and machine learning

Formulation trends, nutrition benchmarking and product-recognition training data, with label photos alongside the records.

Example record

A real record, trimmed.

One product from the sample, shown as the planned barcode lookup would return it.

How to access the data

Dataset first, then the API.

Pricing is announced at launch. The free sample is available today.

Dataset licence

The dataset, once.

One-time dataset licences come first: JSONL, CSV and SQLite with label photos and schema documentation, yours to load into your own systems and train on. Try the free sample first.

Hosted API

Metered endpoints, to follow.

A hosted API on monthly plans follows the first dataset release, with barcode lookup as a first-class endpoint.
